As I look back over the past year it’s always amusing to me which posts people love, and which posts people don’t really read. If I were to take a top 10 posts I’ve ever written, there are some that always show up in my list (Joseph’s coat activities, World War 2 movies), but they aren’t from this year, so I have to throw those out.
10. Job Bible lessons, praising God while in pain
This one surprised me, with as popular as David and all of the other 1 and 2 Samuel lessons are, this was more popular than all of them.
Who doesn’t love edible science projects? I certainly do.
8. How I Teach Active Learners
This shows how much people want to know about teaching active kids if a post I wrote in October is showing up in my top 10 list.
I’m cheating a little because this isn’t a post I wrote, but it is a page I wrote last year, and it’s in my top 10 (after I filter out previous years).
6. Introduction to Greek Mythology
I’m glad to see the popularity of Percy Jackson is translating into popularity for Greek mythology again.
5. How to write a research paper for elementary kids
It always makes me smile when some of my random “How to” posts do well.
I’m rather happy this one was in the top 10, because I think it’s a fun post I wrote.
3. Typekids Online typing Course
I guess I’m not the only one who is looking for a way to teach my kids typing.
2. Ancient Egypt Activities for Kids
Because let’s face it, who doesn’t want to study Ancient Egypt? I know I certainly love that time period.
And the most popular post I’ve written this entire year (drum roll please)…..
Ta-da-da-da-daaaaaaaaaaaaa
1. Tips for teaching highly distracted kid
This post blew all of my other posts out of the water, everyone is reading this. This tells me I’m not the only one with kids who don’t concentrate, which in and of itself is very encouraging.
See dozens of other great posts from the iHomeschool Network’s bloggers.
I love these! I’m glad people care about the Bible posts and that they do well because it means people care about teaching their kids the Bible.
I know, it made my day for sure to see the Bible posts doing so well.
I loved every single one of these, and I agree – go Bible lessons!! But you already know I love your Bible lessons…
I do, but writing this post and the comments on it have sure made my day.
Great posts! I love your candy spine.
Now I’m all gung-ho to make a candy spine again 🙂
Go for it!
I love how you write across such a broad range of topics. Some v cute photos there.
Reading this comment really made my day, because at times I’ve felt like I was a bit silly for writing on a broad range of topics (all of those pro-bloggers say to narrow down your niche, narrow it down, and I just don’t want to).
I love some of those photos, I have such hams for kids.
I can see why these posts were popular. It’s so fascinating when we write the post and see it becoming really popular. I think you can get a lot more mileage of your candy spine post if you share it on a couple of big FB pages. I am looking forward to more fun ideas from you this year!
I really should do that, but I’ve always felt weird sharing my stuff, I’m working on that, but I never quite know what to write or how to say it.
You’ve done a really good job at that this past year, and I’ve been quite impressed at your diligence and all you’ve learned.
I’m looking forward to your posts for this year as well!
I agree with Lucinda – it’s wonderful to read your smart, funny and relatable post on a myriad of subjects!
Awww, reading all your comments from the past day or so has really made me smile.
