Bluebonnets 2021!
I don’t know if it was the lack of rain serious rain this fall, lack of rain this spring, or the not one, but TWO freezes we got this year. There are not so many bluebonnets out this year, and they were late in coming. So, I wasn’t super excited by my bluebonnet selection, and the kids are at the “Do we really have to take pictures?” stage and my answer is, “Yes child, I don’t care if you want to take pictures, you HAVE to.”
We had so much fun, though, in case you can’t tell from the above collage, I’m not a big fan of the super posed pictures. My requirements are let me get one picture of the person by themself, and then you can photobomb to your heart’s content.
Batman’s pictures!
I feel like I always either go oldest or youngest first, so I’m going to put the middle child first. That’s right, my serious middle child.
He wanted to bring his favorite Nerf gun for the pictures, and his favorite manta ray t-shirt, which after we took pictures I realized had giant holes in it. So, that was fun.
Princess bluebonnets
Hey girl, I could annoy you and say hey girlfriend, but I’m with you on thinking that sounds weird.
This year has been amazing to watch you suddenly be a young woman, and I’m not quite ready for it.
I’m having fun with it. Seriously, it’s a lot of fun, and our twice-weekly Gilmore Girl sessions are a blast to laugh/talk through.
Superman bluebonnets
He’s my silly kid. While Princess may share most of my interests, you are truly the kid who most takes after me in personality.
I think you’re choosing to bring your plague doctor mask speaks a lot to your personality.
General fun pictures
I have mixed feelings on the outfit I chose for the pictures. After the fact, I was thinking I should have worn a Harry Potter t-shirt, but oh well.
I love this picture of Jeff and I, especially with Superman in the background with his plague doctor mask. Also, it’s such a perfect picture of the two of us.
However, I LOVE this picture of us. The kids were just so much fun together with it.
This is probably a bit of a more traditional bluebonnet picture, if only the boys would smile a bit more. Sigh.

I love this yearly tradition! The boys look SO tall and I agree with you on transition to womanhood -I am also not quite ready for this. Great pictures!
