Do you feel like quitting homeschooling yet?
There’s something about January and February that has homeschooling moms ready to call it quits. I don’t know if it’s the weather and being closed in all this time, or if it’s we’re starting to get worried we can’t homeschool, but there it is, and we talk about quitting homeschooling.

I certainly feel like quitting homeschooling every winter
That’s why when they asked for authors to write chapters in the new iHomeschool Network book: Homeschooling: What to do when you want to quit*, I jumped at the chance. I ended up writing three chapters for the book: Homeschooling through a death in the family, homeschooling with bickering kids, and am I pushing my kids too much or too little?
So far I’ve read several chapters: homeschooling when you’re feeling behind (which I am right now), and an introvert’s perspective (which I so resonated with).
I skipped the chapters on homeschooling with littles and while pregnant, because those don’t apply to me, but I skimmed a few of the high school chapters because I am realizing high school is creeping very quickly up on me. Then I stopped to read a chapter on what to do when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
So, if you’re like me and ready to quit homeschooling right now, you need to read this book
You can pick up a copy of Homeschooling: What to do when you want to quit for $5.99, and there’s over 200 pages of suggestions from over a dozen veteran homeschool Moms (when did I become a veteran homeschool Mom? Do you sometimes look at your life and wonder how did that happen?)

Feeling behind can ne an awful feeling. Sounds like a great book.
It really is, I’ve been enjoying the chapters I’ve read so far.
I think we all have the moments when we want to quit. I admire homeschooling Moms for persevering through these doubts.
You’re right we all do, but of course when we’re the one in the “I just can’t take it,” it feels like no one else has been there.
Sounds like an interesting book!
It really is.
I just feel like quitting life as I know it and hibernating until March when magically I begin feeling better on all fronts. It’s a weird phenomenon this whole February thing 🙂
Sounds like a book I should read.
