Falling card game

Are you ready for a crazy simple game? It can be played in five minutes or less, it’s also slightly morbid, so I wouldn’t play it with young kids. No your junior high kid who is starting to develop that higher level of thinking, go for it. It’s time to play Falling card game. You’re going to love it. Falling is our traditional what to play when you’ve got five minutes for a game or while we’re waiting to start the next board games.

The quick explanation of the Falling game

Falling five minute card game

You and your friends are all falling out of an airplane, and for whatever reason, you don’t have a parachute. You are all going to die, but the person who lands last obviously wins.

That is the concept of the game.

How to play Falling

First don’t overthink it. The dealer is going to go around and deal a card to you whether or not you are ready, so just go with it.

This is a pick up one, play one card game. It’s that simple. Once you pick up a card, the only way to get rid of it is to play it.

These are the interrupt cards, this interrupts what the dealer is going to do as the dealer is playing. You can push someone, and they get the card instead of you. You can grab a card from another player, and you can stop a card from being played on you or someone else and the dealer will play a different card on you. These cards are dealt with before the action cards below can be dealt with.

Next are the cards you play in front of you. Split means you split your pile into two piles, this can be useful. Next comes the extra, you play that on someone else and they get an extra card. Skip, is obvious, that pile gets skipped. And hit means you get an extra card (I may be reversing hit and extra).

Now, why would you want to do all of this?

Obviously to delay hitting the ground. Somewhere in the bottom of the deck are a bunch of ground cards. Once those start coming out, the only way to not hit the ground is to push the card onto someone else, or just flat out throw out a stop card to keep it from getting played on you.

Of course, in the end, you all die.

Like I said, it’s morbid, but it’s a very hilarious five minutes of silliness.
