This may be one everyone else knows, but I just learned this last week.  One of my great frustrations with water balloons is if you get too many of them piled up in a bucket they burst on each other due to the weight of the balloons being too much pressure (does this seem like a science lesson to anyone else?)

And then we were at clubs a week or so ago and they had filled a baby pool with water and put the balloons in there.  Apparently that’s the key to them not squishing all over each other because the water supports the weight.

GENIUS!

Great idea about putting the water balloons in water. I've never heard of doing that…makes a lot of sense though!

  2. That's a great idea. I either get too tired of filling balloons or the kids throw them before there are too many to pop, lol!

Hi! I am following from your Fun in the Summer Sun link-up!

We have not done water balloons this summer but have spent plenty of time in the water! 🙂

  4. I bought a packet of water balloons for Anna in Target, but they only blow up to the size of grape tomatoes. Arrggh! I was so looking forward to playing with them.

I've had a hard time finding good water balloons this summer, too. I remember learning the water trick to keep them from bursting some summer as a kid…
