Fun in the Summer Fun!

June 6, 2011 Ticia 9 Comments

Welcome to the 1st of our Fun in the Summer Fun event! Each Monday until September 7th Mama to 4 Blessings along with Adventures of Mommydom, Sweet Diva, Harvest Moon By Hand, and Sweet Phenomena will be hosting Fun in the Summer Fun link up events.
Here’s the line up:
The 1st Monday of each month: link up your “Kid friendly summer activities”
The 2nd Monday of each month: link up your “Kid friendly summer crafts”
The 3rd Monday of each month: link up your “Kid friendly summer receipes”
The 4th Monday of each month: link up your “How to stay cool in the summer heat”
Here’s our “Kid friendly summer activity”

I have to admit that here in Texas when I think summer I think swimming and playing in water, so I may have more water and such posts, but let’s face it who doesn’t want to play in the water?  So my activity recommendation for this week: find a park with water, and don’t care how wet they get, extra credit points if they’re in their clothes still.  More bonus points if you get wet (sadly no pictures of me in the water, should have asked Jeff to get that shot).

towels optional.
No really, with as hot as it is if you hang around for another 30 minutes you’re dry.

Of course.  Princess and her Daddy opted to stay dry.  No accounting for taste (though I will say his shorts probably would have taken longer to dry than my nice light cotton).

For those who are curious, I have my whole list of goals for the summer up on my Summer Bucket List post.  Which I need to go back and revise, I’ve thought of more ideas, and I’m planning on scheduling some fun with people in my area each week!  YEAH!

There not much that is more fun than playing in the water! Looks like the boys had fun getting wet.. and Dad & princess had fun in the shade.

June here is actually one of our most chilly months I think. out coastal weather is a bit out of sync. January is our warm month and June is our chilly month.

Looks like everyone enjoyed their time in or near the water! We finally have just started having warm days here (in the 80s now) after having snow just less than a month ago. The weather is just crazy in Minnesota!

What fun! Love the frog fountain! We have a park nearby that has water fountains but unforunately it gets really crazy at this time of the year with camp kids and someone winds up getting hurt in such a small area. Looks like your kids had a great time – that's all that matters! Thank you for joining us in Fun in the Summer Sun Event! Glad to have you! 🙂

Looks like they had a great time, and I'm with you….it's already HOT here & if we're doing much outside after 9 a.m., water should be involved! 😉
    Blessings to you,
    Jill @ Sweet Diva

I wish we had parks with water features in our town, or in a town anywhere near us. Looks like fun!

Missoula has some great water parks, maybe I'll add that to our summer list – or maybe I'll just turn the hose on the kids in the backyard – but you're right, water play is a must in the summer!

Looks like a lot of fun. Sorry about the lack of comments recently. My phone doesn't seem to like your site lately. It keeps popping up weird things. But I could finally get it going.
