Homeschool Blog Hop: Time for Mom

June 22, 2010 Ticia 8 Comments

So, this week the theme is “Time for Mum,” and I totally missed the last one, and the post is sitting in my drafts, but I could never get it to work as a post where it wasn’t feeling forced.
And, I was going to write this big long post about what I like to do to relax and take time for me, but then I decided to go do it.
So, I’m going to:
034 033
and then:
015
And I leave you with this comic which explains why Jeff and I frequently have backaches:
fox trot father's day
Except, this is more of a several times a day thing, than just Father’s Day at our house.  Really, who ever invented the concept of a jump hug?

Please don't let my children know that there is such a thing as a jump hug. Tyler is four inches taller and weighs about 30 lbs more than me; that would be a disaster.

I am laughing at myself right now. It took me the longest time to figure out what that last picture was! Just as I clicked it to enlarge it my brain went DUH! A sewing machine!

Great ways to relax. I won't show this to Selena though as she has never heard of a jump hug.

I hope you are feeling super relaxed after indulging in a bath, a spot of reading and sewing.

Physiotherapists must love Ninja hugs. These sort of things would keep them in business.

Tyler does that too…only he's 150 lbs and 5 foot tall & he's only 11. At least he doesn't do the hugs from behind…me falling into the walls enough times broke him of that habit…now I can brace myself. But, how can you complain about a hug from your 11 year old son that still gives you a kiss on the cheek and will reach out to squeeze your hand IN PUBLIC!!!

You know…remembering things like that is much more relaxing than reading! 🙂
