Homeschool Mother’s Journal November 30, 2012

  • In my life this week…

I’ve been getting ready for Christmas.  I know, big surprise, but it’s had me thinking a lot about what traditions I want to continue and what I want to start.

  • In our homeschool this week…

We’ve been rather hit and miss with the start of Christmas holidays.  We got all of the “necessities” in, except on Wednesday, but otherwise, I was rather disappointed with my organization this week.

  • Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…

Remember your kids learning styles and who they are………..

We are getting ready for Christmas too, but my kids just reminded me that I have yet to put out any decorations and they are itching to do it. I hate to put it out too early; the clutter of it all gets to me!

Christmas traditions are really on my mind this year, too. I need to pick a jesse tree printable today.

You know there’s this great big list of Advent and Jesse Tree ideas you could check out somewhere 🙂
I’m personally fond of the ones at Tired, Need Sleep. I actually emailed her and bugged her to get the list of ones for this year up a few weeks ago. I print them off every year for my Sunday School class.

I am glad Dec 1 falls on Saturday this year – we get to decorate and set up our fake tree today. I am looking forward to it!
