Life continues to be a confusing mess.
June week 1
I almost typed May, that shows you where my head is at.

Technically that big picture on the left is actually the last day of May, but let me tell you about that. I told the kids all about how Tara’s daughter, who is still a young child pretends to be a cat and licks Tara to show affection much to Tara’s annoyance, so Superman was like, “Ha ha ha, I’ll come over and do that to Mother.” This was all while we were all on the family call. I barely got the door slammed shut and myself up against the door before he came over to do it. The Artist got pictures she posted in our family Discord, which are rather hilarious, but they’re not mine to share, sadly.
The small picture in the bottom left is our game room, this will stand as my before picture as we are about to start emptying it of all the stuff to either put it in storage, figure out what will be kept and moved to the rental, and what will be given away. Then I moved all of my books I plan to put into long-term storage into the kids’ rental unit. Which is the big picture.
Superman, Jeff and I played Commission together, which we barely won. BARELY won because we had all of the difficult cards in there, and we played with all of the new cards for the expansion and that was some hard things to try out.
Then, Superman and I are watching anime together on Thursday afternoon and working on various crafts. Only Leezard decided she was going to come and lay down with me, which is fine until she decided she was going to slowly take over the space I was on such that I couldn’t do a thing.
And the final picture was me taking a picture of our book quest book for the month because I’m so excited to finally lead this book. It is one of my favorite books I found through Lorehaven, and it’s been so much fun to read it with them as a book quest and actually get to talk about it with other people as we read it together.
Books read:
I’m being lazy this month and not looking it up.
Games played:
Camel Up (this may have been last week)
Commissioned
Shadows of Brimstone
Week 2

Jeff and I celebrated our anniversary. This is the picture I forced him to take after the fact, and by forced him to take, I mean I said, “Hey Jeff we forgot to get a picture earlier, come take a picture with me,” so he took a picture in the family room. I’ve now reached the milestone point in my life where I have spent more years married than I have spent single, which is kind of cool to think about.
The Artist and I went to go see Masters of the Universe, which I absolutely adored, it was so much fun to go see. She was nice enough to take a picture of me in front of the giant standing display. I think she was mainly happy I didn’t make her pose in front of it for a picture. I love this movie so much, it was so much fun to go see it.
Then we did a mystery together as a family, which ironically I had bought as a Christmas present for Jeff thinking we could do this as a date night, and then he forgot about it and it turned into a family event. What can you do? It had some fun puzzles in it, but some of the other puzzles were not quite as well designed.
And then on the list of really hilarious and silly things that happened the front door fell off. More accurately, the screw finally popped out for the ridiculously thin and narrow screw, so The Artist, Superman, and I sat there and tried like the dickens to figure out how to get that super heavy door in place so we could get the hinges back on. It was quite the ordeal while also keeping the dog in.
Books read:
I would write this down, but I’m writing this super late, and I dont’ feel like it. I read stuff.
Week 3

These are not necessarily in chronlogical order, but here goes, starting from top and working my way around in clockwise order.
First, Superman and I are slowly reading through Hybrid, which si the second book in a series that he really enjoys, so we’re having fun with that.
Next, this is the next load of stuff I gathered to giveaway. Amusingly enough I posted this on FB to brag about it, and someone was like, “Could I look through it for this charity thing,” and I was like, “Look, I’m moving out any day now, and I need this out of my car by tomorrow morning so I can do grocery shopping, so unless you can do that tomorrow morning. No. I just posted this to have a record of my progress in my memories, because this is a big deal.” I went back and forth with her, and the person the charity was for, and ended up with I dropped it off at the person running the charity’s house and she’ll drop off anything she doesn’t want at the donation store. As long as it’s out of my house I’m happy.
I found a measurement of fabric to perfectly make a receiving blanket, so I played a bit of thread chicken trying to finish a decorative hem before I ran out of thread, and I was that short. Much to my dismay. Oh well. I highly doubt anyone will really notice.
That next picture in the bottom corner is Superman from Father’s Day. Jeff decided he wanted to play badminton, so I found a set and we had fun playing it, and the birdie kept getting really close to getting on the roof. And then shortly after I joked about it being me who gets it on there, like the very next hit. I got it up there. Sigh, oh well, we had lots of fun.
And finally, I made focaccia for making sandwiches and it was DELICIOUS! Then a little later that week, also on Father’s Day, I made pretzels for cheese fondue, which was ALSO DELICIOUS! I’m so proud of both of those recipes.
Books read:
yes, lots of them
Games played:
lots of them, none were recorded
Week 4

I desperately wanted to go see Supergirl, and no one wanted to go see it with me because of all the bad press. So Jeff took the bullet and went to see it with me. It was very mid. I’d feel bad for the actress, but she was part of what contributed to the bad press. Unfortunately, the current generation of actors and actresses haven’t had training in how to interact with media, and so that just makes it worse in a media that is ALWAYS on. But, it was a fun watch, she’s well cast, and all of the scenes with her and Superman were a lot of fun. The script was bad, Lobo was fun if pointless, and at some point I would like to have a woman led superhero movie that wasn’t about either “I have to stand up to the patriarchy” or “I have to stop sex-trafficking.” That is part of what made Wonder Woman so different, it wasn’t about those storylines.
Oh well. At least I had a blast at He-Man. I was a happy giggling mess through all of He-Man.
The top right and bottom left are vaguely related as I got two shelves in the sewing room completely emptied (which is part of all that stuff to give away), and the Artist got a lot of stuff cleared out in the game room, so those rooms are so much more empty.
Then last Saturday Jeff accidentally caught the fence on fire while burning weeds in the yard, so we spent Sunday afternoon rebuilding part of the fence, which was so much fun.
And then Sunday Batman came into town, and we’ve been having fun hanging out with him, which is part of why I haven’t written anything yet. We’ve had a hilarious D&D campaign. The picture in the bottom right corner is from the game the two of us were playing, which was fun to play.
