Noah's ark printable puzzle game Genesis Old testament Bible game

Noah’s ark puzzle game

I don’t know if this is you, but I’ve always wondered how Noah got all of the animals on the ark. It’s not exactly a big space, and how did he make sure all of those animals fit on there, and how did he keep the carnivores away from the herbivores? I’ve always thought it would be a bit like a Tetris game, how do I best pack them in there. With that in mind I’ve made a fun Noah’s ark puzzle game to add to my Bible lessons.

I know smarter people than me have thought about the Noah’s ark puzzle

I’ve seen videos of people’s theories how Noah worked out where every animal went.

Or the theories the animals were smaller, or Noah only needed a type, not every single breed.

I know there is what amounts to an amusement park/zoo theorizing how it was all put together. I have to admit I’m curious just because it’s probably an interesting feat of engineering. Also, I like visiting zoos. It’s amazing to me to see the diversity of animals in creation.

Getting back to Noah cramming animals onto the ark

Because I’m sure he was just shoving those animals on there.

I visualize it rather like my friend’s backyard barn. They’ve got layers of rabbits in cages. There’s a tray underneath to catch the droppings, which are then put into a compost pile.

I bet that’s what Noah did.

I also figure he probably fed some of the more prolific herbivores to some of the carnivores.

But, I don’t know how it worked.

It’s another question to add to my list of questions to ask God someday.

Let’s talk about the printable Noah’s ark puzzle game

multiple sizes of noah's ark puzzle game

It’s the newest product in my store, and I made three different sizes. The biggest takes up two different pages. The “board” and then the pieces to cut out.

Next comes the half page, and the quarter page with two complete sets on one page.

Obviously, the largest page is the easiest to put together.

storing large Noah game pieces in envelope

I just glued an envelope on the back to store all of the pieces. Nice and easy.

I did the same thing with the half-page version of the game. Though, I figured out it would be much easier to just put the board and all the pieces in a sandwich Ziploc bag.

I stored the quarter version in a snack bag.

It’s a fun, quick, and easy game to put together.

Suggested supplies for Noah’s ark puzzle game

So far I only have a few I’ve made, but I’ve also bought some great Bible games

  1. It’s a fun and clever puzzle. I recall there was a post on Almost Unschoolers once upon a time when Leah explained how it was done according to Christian science. Needless to say, I am not literal about what’s in the Bible 😉
