October Goals: for Mommy and kiddos
So, my theory of all this accountability kinda worked…….
1. The kids have learned most of the letter sounds, they’re stuck on the ones that have 4 or 5 sounds, but that’s partially because we didn’t get to work on it as much as I wanted to.
2. I did sew something, and got another project partially done. Of course neither were the two quilts I need to work on.
3. I kinda got further on my Bible study like I wanted, but not as much as I’d like.
NEW GOALS
Kids:
READING: Finish alphabet part of reading program (review of that to come, I’m still ambivalent on them partially because of customer service).
MATH: Again, working on their writing. I’m thinking through how I want to achieve this, part of it is I need to make some hints for them they can keep with them, probably to be added to this project.
SCIENCE and HISTORY: by the end of October I’m thinking we’ll be finished with insects, so I want to have them be able to tell me about what they’ve learned, and in History by the end of this week we’ll have finished the first quarter, so that’s another review spot.
ME:
Physical: continue working out, my goal is to work out 3 times a week.
Work on cleaning my house. The challenge for this week is to clean my coat closet and any other hall closets. Not having any other hall closets I’m going to work on the closet in the guest bedroom which houses all of the random “to be grown into clothes.” I think I can get this done by the time this post goes up on Friday, we’ll see.
Spiritual: finish the 1 Thessalonians study, and get started on 2nd Thessalonians. I’m also tempted to write a “How to Study the Bible” mini-blog (as in it will be for a limited duration until I’ve gone through the lessons I want to write), but that may be biting off too much.
School: I want to finish up my planned out schedule for history, and again work more on geography plans, they’re coming along, kind of.
And hopefully I’ll get a slew of laundry done and put it away, emphasis on putting away.
Oh, and cleaning the downstairs, hopefully by the time you read this it’s much prettier. Fingers crossed.

Good luck with all of your goals!
Wow! I am tired just reading your lists.
I remember being in high school and there being three or four baskets of clean but unfolded laundry constantly upstairs. I used to wonder why it didn't get folded, where my siblings and I did most of the other housework (apart from cooking dinner). Now I'm amazed that my mom made dinner from scratch every night for a family of 10 (two siblings were already in college) while looking after my infant sister and two preschoolers, and still managed to keep the laundry for 10 people down to only three or four baskets that weren't folded yet at a time… I did the dishes every single night, so she didn't have to clean up from making dinner, but still. I think she did something like four loads of laundry a day, and probably sometimes more.
I have plenty of closets, that need to be cleaned out, if you run out of closets to clean at your house 🙂
I was thinking the same thing as Leah, your always welcome to come clean out my closets, I only have two!
I got a head start in decluttering in October, but Lars pointed out to me yesterday that we have Anna's “extras” in every single room of the house. I am hoping to consolidate before the end of the year 🙂 Good luck with your goals.
Hmm…one more thing we have in common. I'm good at “doing” laundry, but some weeks it doesn't get put away!
Hi I am Nicole from ColiesKitchen.com I found you on a Follow Friday blog hop and wanted to drop by and say hi. I really like your blog, and am now a new follower. I would love to have you stop by Colie’s Kitchen if you get a chance.

Awesome, you tick off quite a few from last month, that's gotta make you smile 🙂
New seasons always seem to bring about that urge (or need!) to declutter. It feels like I am forever running out to buy tubs to store baby and toddler clothes that are too small. I have only recently sorted all of our childrens cupboards for our Spring.
It's always a good feeling when you can put a big line through the goals you have achieved. Here's hoping to lots of your goals ticked off for October.
