Of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax
Of cabbages and kings
Happy sigh, Lewis Carroll……..
How was your Halloween? Ours was a lot of fun. We helped the boys decorate pumpkins (Princess didn’t want to have to touch the slimy insides).
So while the boys carved their pumpkins Aunt Tara gave Princess a makeover into the most adorable fairy ever, if I do say so myself.
Superman was a milk carton, and that thoroughly enchanted all of the adults we saw. A few of the kids were less than impressed, and luckily he didn’t notice the few snarky comments he got. Mostly they all thought the idea of a milk carton was great.
They pretty much all did awesome. But Superman was the stand out to me for his attitude. The costume was bulky and he had no peripheral vision, but he never really complained. He happily explained what he was and was very polite.
At the end of the night I had 3 sleepy kiddos and 1 very sleepy doggy.
Which pretty much sums up how I felt at the end of the night as well.
How was your Halloween? I actually was going to put up a different post, but I was so proud of my kiddos and how well they did that I had to share.
Oh, I almost forgot I wanted to mention some cool giveaways going on:
1. I’ve finally finished the first unit in my Bible study and you can WIN IT over at Managing Your Blessings.
2. Like I said in #1, I’ve finished the first unit in my Bible study I’ve been working on for ages, and so I’ve added a tab up above: Bible Curriculum. More details to come next week.
3. A friend of mine is giving away an annual pass to the Ultimate Homeschool Expo, next time is preparing for the Holidays).

I just can’t believe how much Princess has grown, she looks so grown up!
I KNOW! It’s so hard to believe my baby will be turning six in a few weeks.
I adore the milk costume!!!
Me too. I was so incredibly proud of how well he did walking around in it.
Love the costume. Princess is an adorable fairy. Our Halloween was pretty good too – Anna was a ghost.
