On the road again

October 3, 2012 Ticia 3 Comments

I can’t just wait until we’re on the road again…..

Oh wait, we are on the road again.  We’re traveling to go see a college friend’s wedding.  I’m working on my tried and true car trip tips for kiddos post, but fingers crossed.  IN the meantime, here’s a few funny stories from the trip so far.

055

I have a new phone, and we were fiddling around with it trying to make sure we were headed the right way and get an idea of time to a reasonable bathroom.  Then I saw A BUTTON, you know one of those that screams “PUSH ME!”  I think I literally heard a voice saying that.

So I did.

And suddenly my phone is talking to me and telling me where to go.  It’s never done that before, but it does now.  After Mom and I stopped laughing I had to push the button several more times to see what else it would say.

I now understand all those people who ask their phone silly questions, because it’s amusing as all get out to listen to.

I finally got my son to illustrate all of the spots in his stomach.  He keeps saying things like “My vegetable spot is full, but my steak spot still has lots of room.”  I learned he has all sorts of spots, milk, cheese, bacon, popcorn, steak, more milk, fish, even more milk.

I loved his milk spot illustration.  It’s a cow with a VERY full udder.

His brother then started drawing all of the spots for food in his stomach, complete with a steak spot.  That was illustrated by a cow with a sword in it, that’s to differentiate from the cow that was the milk spot.

Their sister, not to be outdone felt the need to point out “We don’t actually have spots boys.  We have a stomach where all of the food goes together, and there’s a heart and lungs,” and then she went on to draw a mostly anatomically correct version of our organs.

It made for interesting dinner conversation to say the least.

So, if I’m rather sporadic in your hearing from me, now you know why.

Sounds like Siri is very entertaining. I am yet to get a decent phone. Enjoy your trip!
