3 more tips for protecting your family online
1. Electronics are only allowed in public areas.
2. Set time limits for “electricity time” (this is what we currently do, and ties back to my earlier tips, and as I said Gryphon helps with that.).
3. Teach them about internet security. Don’t share your passwords, regularly change passwords, etc… (this came up in our family because of the Yahoo data breach).
We use Covenant eyes and really haven’t been disappointed. And we are so pleased not to have ever had any electronics in bedrooms or upstairs. We still need to pull in how often the guys are on their phone, even though we have strict limitations they still manage to notch up 3 hours most days. We would love it to be nearer the two hour mark. We’ll get there in the end, but it is slow going….
