If you look closely you will see that is about 20 different pairs of socks.ย  Not one with a match.

Haha ๐Ÿ™‚ I thought I was so clever, trying to circumvent this problem by getting E 10 pairs of white socks for Christmas…but the socks were smarter, and all 10 pairs disappeared, so I'm still trying to match up pairs every laundry day ๐Ÿ™‚

We have a sock eating dryer too, but it doesn't eat so many socks ๐Ÿ™‚

Don't you know? Instruction pages from IKEA draw spare parts naturally; some of those socks probably started out at your neighbors' houses!

With 5 kids, we buy only white socks. We do have the ankle lenth variety and the longer variety, but still much more matches (or at least near matches) that way.

That's a lot of socks. I probably have that many unmatched, but they are spread throughout drawers.

I love all the colors and designs!

HA! I'll see you your 20 unmatched socks and raise you a baby sock that will never find its match, but I can't bear to throw away. (Remember, James is four). When I clean out the sock basket and try to match pairs there is always the lone baby sock. And back into the basket it goes!

I use to go through this a lot when my kids were smaller. I don't think we've had all that many socks eaten by the dryer…I guess my dryer doesn't like socks. Now watch just because I said that it will start eating them too!

What a perfect collection to make some fun sock puppets.

That's the funniest picture I've seen in some time. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think I'm going to buy socks in only one color from now on.

This happens at my house too. My sister in-law suggested that I pin JDaniel's socks together when they go the wash. I think they would figure out a way to unpin themselves.

That is so hilarious!! We are really big on plain white socks. No matching required.
