Uh oh, the door is locked

IMG_1311That would  be what I said after checking the door to look in on Princess who was sent to time out for being way too worked up.  She’d gotten quiet and we thought she’d fallen asleep.

After spending ten to fifteen minutes using various implements (bobby pins did not work, nor did tooth picks), Jeff went over to try and he pushed on the door and it came open.  While it was closed the door was not latched.

Oops.

And we went in and Princess was quite asleep.  She tried her best to sleep through being picked up and put in the car, and the first few holes of mini golf.  Which I apparently suck at.

There was much fun frivolity and goofy poses to be had.

And Uncle Sean had a blast climbing up the dragon……  He was quite proud of himself.  Very proud.  Luckily the boys weren’t big enough to try and climb it themselves.  Otherwise we might of had a repeat of our trip two years ago with another ER trip…….  But, at least Galveston does have one of the best ERs we’ve seen.

So, Summer bucket list mini golf, check.  And I”m sure we’ll do this at least one more time because the kids said they want to go to the other side of the golf course with the fish and the turtle……

Good thing you didn't have Selena, as the door would have definitely been pulled shut and locked. That is why we keep a door key handy for every door with a lock on it.

Can you check things off of your summer bucket list, before it's actually summer?

I was going to say that it isn't summer yet, but Leah beat me to it! I guess it feels like summer in TX though.

I tend to think of May as the start of summer. I know it officially doesn't start until some point in June, but it's hard to think it's still spring when you're regularly getting 90 degree weather.

Of course my seasons run something like this: May-August or early Septmber is summer. September to October is fall. November to February is Winter. Spring is March and April.

Yes, I've invented my own seasons……

Cheating 🙂 Anna and Lars went to play mini-golf last week, and Lars reported that she was quite good if and when she tried. It's lucky that the door hasn't been locked after all.

Okay, too funny about the door not being locked. If I was going to go through all that trouble I would at least have wanted it to be locked!

I don't care what the calendar says, it is summer here. Hot already!

Steven had to break a door down once for that reason.
Yeah, I was just wondering about that summer bucket list, too. I like your own seasons. Cool idea. 🙂

Oh, that's a funny story. It looks like you had a wonderful family time. Little J calls putt putt golf, golf-golf golf. I have no idea why. Thanks for linking up to the party.
